Currently, everyone who likes cross-country skiing can ski in the territory of the Museum Reserve, as two routes have been created, 1.3 km and 2.3 km long.
Those who prefer walking can enjoy the snowy landscapes, walking along nature trails, viewing the sculptures of the Hill of Dainas, or getting acquainted with the new exhibition “Pearls of Nature” in the territory of the Turaida Forest Park. You can also take dogs with you on walks through the Turaida Museum Reserve.
The exhibition “The Livs of the Gauja in Latvia’s Cultural History” is open every day. There you can get acquainted with the story of the ancient inhabitants of Turaida – the Gauja Livs.
Exhibitions are open in the buildings of the Turaida Castle, including the possibility of going up the main tower of the castle, that overlooks the magnificent landscape of the ancient Gauja Valley.
Visitors can see the foundations of the recently restored cannon tower.
Turaida Museum Reserve is open every day, even holidays, from 10:00 to 17:00.
